MAHMUTLAR’S PUBLIC TRANSPORT
It is very easy to find your way to anywhere cheaply and efficiently using the local transport system in Mahmutlar.
The TURQUOISE and White Buses you see in Mahmutlar are Council/Municipality Buses providing public transport for residents and visitors to different parts of the town and to neighbouring areas and districts.
THERE ARE FOUR MAIN ROUTES
Bus ROUTE 1 :
This bus takes you from Mahmutlar to Alanya.
It starts in Mahmutlar.
Takes the Beach Road D400 all the way
Passes by Kestel
Passes by Oba
Stops at the ATATURK STATUE in Alanya (perfect if you want to walk through around the harbour, visit the Alanya Beledyes Offices or visit the cinema.
Its next stop is the PTT Office in Alanya
Then Kleopatra Beach
Its final destination it the Bus Station.
It then returns via the same route.
The price of a ticket per person is 2 TL.
You can save money by having a prepaid card which can be bought from the Municipality of Alanya and some designated shops authorized to top up the cards.
Bus ROUTE 2
The bus starts from Mahmutlar
Travels through the centre of Kestel
Passes by Tosmur and Oba on D400
Stops at the Alanyum Shopping Centre
Stops at the Government Hospital
Stops at the Friday Market
Stops at the Basket University Hospital
Travels on to the Fish Market
Stops at the TAPU office
Stops at the Anadolu Private Hospital and finishes its journey at Alanya Bus Station.
It then makes the same journey and follows the same route all the way to Mahmutlar.
Follows the same route as Bus 2 but travels through 25 metre road on its way to the Friday Market.
This bus route is popular for those on holidays wanting to see some of the most popular City sights of the city.
This bus will take you to residents on holidaysAlanya Castle.
There are also stops at Kuyularönü Mosque
and Alanya’s Aquapark.
There are also private uses are Private Buses which provide transport to the smaller districts and villages around Mahmutlar and Alanya
You can use these buses to travel to and from Alanya’s Friday Market from the following districts. Travel costs around 3 tl per person.
